I doubt that there are other industries out there which suffer as much from Post-Event Separation Syndrome (PESS) as the gaming industry.
You see, it’s the people. Some really fucking amazing people work in gaming. Over the years many of them have become part of a trusted social circle - one I ONLY really get to see at industry events. I meet these amazing people, I become friends with them, and they live all over the world. At the major events they fly in for a couple of days to do whatever it is that they do in gaming. The social circle is together again. Everything is awesome. Until it ends..
PESS kicks 24 hours after the show-floor closes. It will hit after everything from large mainstream events like E3 to smaller local LAN-events. As I board the next plane to somewhere and realize it will be 3 to 6 to 12 months before I see many of these people again. People who are awesome.
PESS kindda sucks.

To everyone who took the time to vote a week ago - thanks. We were deadlocked on a design choice up until a few days before the announcement of our new Xbox 360/PC headsets and I turned to tumblr/twitter/facebook for input. Asking the community for input was a really gratifying experience - 2k+ votes in less than a day. The winner was the design seen above (5xb).
It’s awesome how much the Internet has changed the world. Getting feedback and input from large groups have become such an easy thing, it is for sure something I will explore much more going forward.
Note: SK Gaming added this during the E3 craziness. God I really hate my own voice. Especially since it totally destroys my self-illusion about being somewhat capable of speaking English.
Got a few seconds? Working on this new product, right now kindda stuck on which design is best. Would appreciate your feedback on this one..

Left or right?
